Beth came over to visit on Friday, and something she bemoaned was having to be between normal jeans and maternity jeans. Her ‘in-between’ jeans are these gems, complete with elastic and the world’s longest zipper. I think she deserves a round of applause for being so brave for the picture! (Clap clap clap clap clap)
It helps to know that my belly button is a full two inches below the button on those jeans, and my knees are only another three inches down from those pockets. Really there’s something lost in just a photograph…
And, I should add, I’m completely open to all out pourings of sympathy in the loss of my waist, regardless of the good cause it has been lost to.
So these are some really high waisted pants,huh? But, really, you don’t even look like you’re, you know, in that way . Honest.
By the way, are you wearing shoes in the picture?
So these are like grandpa pants? I always wondered why old men wore their pants so high. Apparently, the pants are made that way. At least, that’s been my experience from some thrift store purchases.
So your pants are made to ride so high on purpose? Does the crotch get higher as your baby gets larger?
This isn’t going to turn into an “upper and lower” post of garments that change size during pregnancy….is it? Brave Beth broadcasting her belly!
Dang. I just realized that we forgot our reference quarter. For the record, the zipper is about $3.00 long.
