Er, um, I dropped my camera a little bit on Tuesday.
I wondered why the pictures I took at the doctor’s office turned out so grainy, and then the next morning when I tried to take a picture at school, the screen was blank. I still have the little icons and everything, but it won’t take a picture. Some frantic internet searching found that it’s probably the CCD sensor-thing that’s busted. (It’s whatever turns regular light into a digital image.) It would cost $130 or so to send it in to be repaired.
“I bet it’s still under warranty,” said Lloyd. (I hadn’t yet told him that I dropped it.) I checked the receipt and yes, we had bought the extended warranty – right after the first awful malfunction. Yes, we bought that extended two-year warranty two years and ten days ago.
*sigh* So, you’ll have to live with some Photo Booth pictures from the iMac for a while. Sorry.
(Silver lining – new camera!!)

I like the soft blue glow of your iMac camera. Everything looks so right in the light of a computer screen.

two years and 10 days… maaaaannnnn…

Only 10 days over??? I bet LLoyd could get the store to make an exception. Arguments to consider: I was told there’s a 15 day grace period when I purchased the warranty. I just got back from Iraq & my wife has been ill. Do it because iLloyd said so!
But YAY for getting a new camera!!
