Brad posted a picture of his afternoon at the inner harbor in Baltimore the other day, and I was flabbergasted by the blazing blueness of the sky. It seemed unreal – like a painting or a movie. The sky here has looked like this for weeks:
I’m not kidding. This photo was taken at 2 p.m. It looks like this all day, every day, forever and ever. Oh, except for the early morning hours, when we have freezing fog. It’s as if someone has erased us from the world, or that we’re all dead and no one has bothered to let us know.
It’s getting a little creepy, if you ask me.
Lloyd just came over to check my post and said, “I don’t know – that sky looks a little blue.” No, Lloyd, this is blue:

Ugh! I’m glad I don’t live there.
Speaking of skies, we had a really cool cloud formation yesterday morning. You could see the advancing cold front. It was a hard line in the sky dividing blue sky and grey clouds. I seemed to be more excited about it than most of the people I showed it to.

I should probably also point out that my Cousin Sam is now officially old. I believe the greyness of the sky, the bland taste of food and everyone’s generally bleak outlook on life lately can all be blamed on this.

Speaking of Sam’s turning old: Lloyd, Lauren you should check out the pictures of Sam’s classroom on my facebook page. It isn’t elaborate, but VERY appropriate. 🙂
It is gray here too and has been forever. If you have died, Lauren, we have died with you.

Where…Is…The…Sun?!?!??!
Here’s the little tune Deborah’s preschoolers did when I visited in NY:
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, PLEASE shine down on me!
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, Hiding behind a tree.
These little children are asking you --
Please come out so we can play with you.
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, PLEASE shine down on,
PLEASE shine down on,
PLEASE shine down on ME!!!!!
Now everybody sing!

Once Balto. had a long period of gray skies and it was awful! We’ve outlawed that so we’re good now.
I’m an avid sky watcher…every single day I take note of the colors in the sky in the morning & evening. I’m surprised I don’t crash more beings I’m usually in my car at these times.

One good thing about the gray skis here, there is no wind. As I look out the window, I notice the American Flag is barely wiggling.
(Wow, I haven’t commented in a long, long time. Now I think about it, It might be since Christmas since I last read your posts.)

Back in the fall I wished the wind would stop blowing for one cotton-pickin minute. Hey I got my wish.

Whenever I read one of Curt’s posts I always hear it in my head in his voice. It’s like Curt is reading to me. Thanks Curt.
