So, the chair in my classroom that the little girl threw up on went straight to the dumpster. Sometimes things like that are salvageable; sometimes you just cut your thrift-store-chair losses and look for an alternative.
Lloyd and I stopped at Menards on Sunday and found this chair. It’s from an outdoor furniture set and it’s practically perfect in every way! Wide enough for two friends to share a book, soft enough for a sleepy/sad child to curl up, and best of all – soft, yet waterproof (and wash-off-able) cushions. If worse comes to worse, brand-new cushions could replace these.
Bonus: It was on sale! Let the viruses begin!
