Woo-hoo! We left the house! Lloyd and I went to Lincoln to do some shopping and watched Star Trek Into Darkness. There was also lunch involved that was not fast food*! I feel so fancy.
Working backwards: the movie was ok. I actually liked it more than Lloyd, but that’s because I have completely given up on my brain’s ability to follow a plot line, so I look up everything before I watch it. I knew there would be some cheesy parts, so I was expecting them. He didn’t, and he wasn’t. Sorry, man.
Shopping was fun. I needed to get some stuff, and Lloyd is going to visit Brad in Hawaii soon, so he needed to buy a couple of things. Who knew that there were so many hats in the world to choose from? Hats, books, sunscreen and construction paper. A good haul.
Lunch was fun, but expensive. We ate at a little hole-in-the-wall place called Super Taco. (Legend has it that the owners let their kids name it. Good for you, owners.) I enjoyed its ‘diner-like-quality-but-hey-its-not-Burger-King’ ambiance quite a bit, loved that the television was playing Mexican shows and I only knew two words, but accidentally ordered the most expensive thing. I have to say that it was not my fault. The prices started high at the top and got cheaper as you went down. My fajitas were at the very bottom with no price. Were they pulling the ‘If you have to ask, you can’t afford it’ thing? Because I’m pretty sure I can afford fajitas, I would just like to know that they’ll be $13.
* Don’t get me wrong. I love fast food.
