With the conference being over and the middle of summer arriving, I really don’t have a reason to hang on to the 1,400+ photos on my iPad. I settled down in front of a movie and deleted all but a couple hundred. (Mostly cat pictures. You know I’m crazy, right?)
I turned my attention to my e-mails. One of our pastors saw that I had over a thousand on this thing and laughed out loud. If he only saw my desktop computer he would freak. I never delete emails anymore out because of the one time I deleted them down to zero and – oops – it turned out we didn’t have car insurance anymore. Thanks, automatic payment notice that I didn’t realize I signed up for. (Have I mentioned I’m crazy?)
On to delete more of my digital life!
Kristi says
Is all that deleting like watching your life disappear?
Lauren says
Yes. It’s a little weird. I have the gut-clench of ‘What if I need those later?!?!” Oh, well -- they’re gone.
Brad says
I dump old pictures into a folder called “New Folder 6” or something like that. Then I never look at any of them ever again.

If it is any consolation I currently have 1,710 emails in my inbox. I have filters set up and try to delete them, but they just keep growing and multiplying.
