Well, we did it. I have to say, if you are ever going to celebrate a holiday in preschool, save it for a Friday. The week is over and you don’t have to worry about a repeat of the day’s shenanigans because you ‘ll have a weekend for them to forget all about it.
Today went better than I had any right to expect. They had to be non-fighting pirates (because I am the meanest woman in the world), but I got a chuckle out of my smokescreen of “Literacy! It’s all literacy!”, when it was really for my own amusement. R, B, i and X played heavily into our day, but it occurs to me that I can’t show you here. You’ll have to check the end of our September album to see.
By the way, well done, Sam. St. John went all out!

Haha! The last picture is great! Sam is awesome!

Sorry this was all messed up when you got to it. The WordPress app has changed and it’s tough to make posts from the iPad anymore. Giant photos and wrong links. *sigh* I miss the past.

I went back and looked at the album now.
Hehe…. I love the “i” patches. Did the kids get the joke “R” and “arr!”?
The eighth graders were telling me the classic pirate joke:
Why could the pirate kid not go see the movie?
It was rated R (and they would crook their finger like a pirate hook)

I like your pictures of kids. Tell Sam he makes a great pirate.
