Let’s recap the weekend, shall we? I actually don’t have many pictures to share, so let’s use our Imaginations!
Friday night: No camping. Lloyd had a rough day so we stayed home and I rented The Lunchbox. Had subtitles, still good.
Saturday morning: Went with Sam and Rachel to look at a house (1). Napped a little. Helped set up for the ministry fair at St. John, manned our table (2), then off to Lincoln to run a couple of errands and help chaperone the Homecoming dance for a while (3).
Sunday: Helped a little at the ministry fair (4), took a nap, made some dinner.
Huh. It seemed busier than that. You can stop reading here if you like, but yonder are the details.
1) It’s an older home, but it checks out. It’s on a third of an acre, which is rare to find in town, but the home needs work, which does not make me envy them. They are just looking – no major decision yet.
2) The various ministry boards/committees/areas were invited to set up information on tables for before and after the services this weekend. I liked it – it was neat to see all the different areas. I was across from the Sunday school table, and they had two Jesus and Moses action figures and I kept giggling because Moses looked so much like Kenny Rogers.
3) The Homecoming dance was good. I went to Target first (yay!) and then stood on the stage looking disapprovingly at all the dancing. Lloyd said I looked too severe, but I thought that was the job. I tried smiling, but it hurt. The funniest part was when they played ‘Let It Go’ and all those kids were belting it out at the top of their lungs. My ears are ringing from 45 minutes of loud music.
4) I thought I had to work another shift, but I didn’t. Lloyd had already headed out and I didn’t have my phone. Out in the parking lot I couldn’t figure out which white car was mine, and finally saw him backing out and drive away. Ladies and gentlemen, I RAN to catch up to the car. RAN. There wasn’t even a big dog chasing me, which is the only reason I think humans should run. It wasn’t pretty, but I caught up.

I have that same Jesus action figure! Mine is still in the original packaging. Do you think that will make it more valuable in 100 years?
Beth says
Mom does.

I witnessed the running. She was also yelling, “Lloooooyd!” Several of us stopped in our tracks and stared, mouths agape.
Lauren is amazingly fast. I am certain that she could outrun any dog.
Lauren says
You hear that, dogs?
Elaine Royuk says
Ha Ha!!!
