When we went to Branson, we cooked all our meals. We did one giant grocery trip and then a few minor ones. For the most part we did pretty well, but we did wind up with a lot of stuff left over at the end that just went home with people.
I tried to do a little pre-planning ahead of time, but it was difficult since we went to Heit’s Point first. If we hadn’t done that I would have brought a bunch of stuff from home. As it was, I just brought coffee, sugar and some spices. I put various spices in a pill box and taped them shut.
It was kind of random. We did use the garlic powder, onion powder and basil, but not the Lawry’s or red pepper flakes. (Some people like that on pizza.) we did need baking powder, but my Mom brought a bunch of that. We also needed cinnamon for my nephew’s cinnamon rolls, but they needed more than I brought so they bought a container. I also had a separate, larger container of salt. We used most of that.
All in all, a good idea, but it needs some refining.

That last picture is pretty. Kind of artsy.

You should let that pill box dictate what you cook for a week. Tomorrow, you must make everything with cinnamon. Tuesday, baking powder. And so on.
Ready? Go!

Really clever!
