After painting the classroom Thursday, Lloyd came in early on Friday so we could hang up the shelves and stuff back on the walls. He was wonderfully helpful, and left before anyone else arrived at the Center.
I left one of the shelves for later in the day since it required a little more thought. See, up in the loft there is a long, narrow shelf to put family pictures. (The little ones like going up there to read and also look at their family’s picture.) When I hung it up there long ago, I did a pretty bad job and it was pretty bowed. This time, though, I drew a level line and actually made sure I followed it. I was alone for this one, though, and it required some help. Thank you, blocks.

That’s an impressive scaffold you’ve built there. What are all those cement blocks for? Is it a college-style shelf system?
Lauren says
They are actually wooden blocks, screwed together to look like cement blocks. We’ve got to train these children early so their college years will be successful.
