Lloyd’s mom has a donkey. On Saturday, Lloyd, Aaron and I walked around the farm and Hee-Haw (that’s his name) followed us. At one point, Lloyd and his brother went back to the house, but I wanted to keep walking. The donkey stood in between us, wondering which way to go. I figured he went back to the house, but after I was done walking and turned back around, there he was – ambling toward me.
We stopped at one point and he ate a bean pod from a locust tree. I picked up some more and fed them to him, then started walking again. We stopped for another pod, then he nipped at my sweater sleeve. I walked faster. Hee-haw ambled along behind me, intent on eating my bean-pod colored sweater.
Sweet little donkey. I hope you stay warm this winter.
Brad says
You should get a donkey! Think of all the potential benefits…
-you wouldn’t have to mow your lawn any more
-you wouldn’t have to carry your own beast-of-burden burdens
Beth says
He’s very handsome.
Peggy says
He is ADORABLE!! I would love to have him in my yard…and my house when it’s too cold outside.
Love you Hee-Haw!!
Ron Royuk says
The best part I like besides meeting Hee-Haw is your title, it’s so fitting! 🙂
Lauren says
It’s the only time I’ll ever be able to say that without reproach. 😉
Lloyd says
My understanding is that if you’d like a donkey, they have one they could part with.
Mom says
You are lucky Lauren, he bit a shinny button off a new coat last spring. He loves company.
