So, the embarrassing plethora of typos got me thinking that maybe I shouldn’t type on my iPad anymore. I absolutely hate the keyboard. I know how to type, but on the stupid touch keyboard, I usually wind up pecking at the keys with my thumbs. It’s not pretty.
I saw an ad for the Touchfire. Here’s a link if you want to see it in action. It’s really (a) pretty good idea. It’s a silicone cover that goes over the touch keypad. It has just enough give that it feels more like a real keyboard. It attaches with magnets, (a)nd you can fold it out of the way when you’re not using it.
I bought it with the case, and while there are somethings I like, I’m not sure if I’ll keep it. The keyboard is taking a little getting used to, but I’m getting better. The magnets hold it just slightly non level with the keys, and that bugs me. The case is cool in some ways – it has a magnet to hold the iPad onto fridge or whatever, like I’m always doing. But the hinge is opposite of my old one, no t(ah)t bugs me. I don’t know. Time will tell.
