Apparently we had a terrible thunderstorm last night – slow-moving, sustained winds of 40-50 miles per hour for over and hour with gusts of 70 mph, and some rain. People lost power for hours (not me) and it was a big deal….. but not for me. I had a ‘good’ night of sleep. With my blindfold and two fans pointing at my head, I didn’t hear or see a thing.
I woke up in the morning and saw this out the window:
That’s a hedge in the middle of the picture, but the branches to the right are supposed to be much, much higher.
Yikes. I snapped a photo, sent it to Lloyd, then went to work and promptly forgot about it. It’s in the right-of-way, so it’s the city’s property. Fortunately, Sam called it in to the city. Thanks, Sam.
There were trees down all over town, so when I got back from work it was still on the ground. People are busy, and I figured it might take a couple of days for anyone to get around to it.
I stopped at a friend’s to visit for a while in the evening, and when I came back…. lo and behold!
All chopped up! (Sam, are you sure it wasn’t you?)
