Lauren says
I am ‘Midland’, thank you very much. My sister apparently had a guy identify that she grew up in western Colorado just by hearing her talk. I could be making that up, though.
Karla says
I’m Northern. When I was a senior in high school, a guy at McDonald’s picked up on my Detroit accent, even though I hadn’t lived there since I was 5. Good thing I moved back to my accent area. 😉
Lloyd says
I was born in Chicago and lived there until I was 5. After that I was raised by wolves.
Lauren says
Yeah, sometimes we can hear the remnants of your wolf accent.
Brad says
Midland. I had somebody tell me he heard a Nebraska influence in my speaking. But he told me that after I said I was from Nebraska.
Karla says
Arron’s came back Midland. He insisted it was wrong and set about retaking it to get a result that included his home state of Iowa. All this after he complained that his family has an accent. Go figure.
Beth says
I’m a Midland as well. Though when I speak with friends from the south, I slip into my southern roots very quickly.
Kristi says
I’m Midland, too. Now how do Midlanders really pronounce it? Is it Midlund or Midland? Hmmm.
Beth says
Great question! I say Midlund.
Peggy says
Mid-Atlantic … it says Balto. & thereabouts … I guess I’m the thereabouts.
Michele says
I was Midland. How can that be? I should have matched up with Peggy considering I live one block from where I grew up here in Ballmer (Baltimore) AND less than a mile from where my parents were raised. Please, help me understand hon!
Peggy says
Maybe you had trouble reading the questions … not being a reader and all … if you’d like we’ll do a retake & I’ll read you the questions ….
Michele says
Ha! Very funny Peggy!
