I'm back!

I’m back!

May 28, 2009

Lauren

Lloyd finally ran out of school and posts, so I’m finally allowed to write again! Let me begin my triumphant return by asking you to do some work for me.

My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child in June, and nicely asked if I’d like to get some lettering for their nursery wall. (Being all ‘words-on-the-wall’ crazy like I am, I’m thrilled to do it.) Lloyd has helped me toy around with some poems and such, but if you’ve got any ideas – quotes, places to look, etc. – I’d love to hear them. Ask around, let me know. Cute is good, funny is good, sarcastic always make me chuckle, that’s for sure.

Thanks.

Over and out.

Flat-out stolen from something someone said on Swistle's site.

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil’s might,
Beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!

    I will not fear
    Fear is the mindkiller,
    Fear is the little death
    That brings total Oblivion
I will permit my fear to pass
    Over me and through me
    And where it has gone
I will turn the inner eye
    Nothing will be there
    Only I will remain.

    Fee Fi Fo Fum
I smell the toes of a little one.
    Be they dirty,
    Be they clean,
    I think they smell like….
    Garbanzo beans.

Actually, I have a great one that is on a needle point picture, given to us when Anna was born. I don’t remember it word for word, so I will look and post it later -- probably after everyone is done with this day’s post. So Lauren, check back.

You just did that so that I wouldn’t get a reference, right? Well I’ve got news for you buddy: I don’t get it. You win. There, I said it. Are you happy now?

        Yes, I am happy.

        Room 1 = living room
        Room 2 = kitchen
etc. (like in a office building or school) Get it?

I should have said Room 105 or Room 205 depending on how many stories in their house.

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

It is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us.
