We have a new teacher at work who is fresh out of college – she is great at her job and a wonderful asset to the CDC. She is however, fresh out of college. This is her first job and she has all those life issues that she is navigating well, and that I secretly crave. She is just starting out! She doesn’t have much furniture, she doesn’t have much food, she is working on figuring it all out. Lucky duck.
Arrrggghhhh!!! It’s just like when Brad was in Maui!! I want to take over and buy everything she needs! Except: 1) I realize that would be crazy, and 2) I realize that would be crazy.
So, I am doing some little things. After work this week she jokingly mentioned how bare her fridge is, so I think I will take her some meat pages. Who doesn’t like a good page of meat? Some spaghetti sauce, some noodles, a table, some chairs and dishes….. wait a minute, Lauren. Back off the crazy.
Beth says
OH! I want to take her all the things she’ll need for her whole life too! I LOVE that! But yea…I’m in the crazy bin too…
Brad says
Haha! You should get in contact with the schools in Hawaii and have them tell you when teachers move from the mainland. I’m sure they wouldn’t think it was crazy that you sent them essentials. But you probably couldn’t send them any meat pages.
