I was so proud of me! Before I even ate breakfast this morning I threw some stew meat on the stove. While it browned I dumped the rest of some stew fixins in the crock pot, then threw in the meat and put it out in the entryway to simmer while we were at work. (I put it in the entry so the cats don’t mess with it.)
Around 8:00, I had a sinking feeling. At 4:30, I ran to do an errand at church and stopped by the house.
Look closely.
Dang it. If it had been ten degrees colder I wouldn’t worry at all. Do you think if I just cook the heck out of it, it will be fine?

I have no advice to give.
Eat some cereal. I got a great deal on Cap’n Crunch the other day. $1.67 for a box! Can you believe it?

That is disappointing.

Update: Macy was the first to eat breakfast this morning. When she opened the breadbox, she said, “Mom, did you mean to leave the meatballs in the breadbox?”
That’s disappointing. Must be something in the air.

I laughed OUT LOUD!

My mom baked up a big batch of cookie dough that had sat out over night. I go for it and let us know how it goes. For science!!

On the porch, with no heater? I’d probably put that food in the fridge until Saturday, then cook the he-- out of it for eight hours or so, and see how it goes. 🙂
