Lloyd had his end-of-year staff party tonight, so I decided to just stay at work and get some things done. He decided to taunt me.
Hmmmph.
What was I doing? Well, when I slapped up the panels in the Kindergarten/first grade room, I did it on my own and they were…. less than level…. I lost four inches of height over 16 feet. Yikes.
So I took them down, cobbled together a system to hold the panels up while I nailed them (that system failed), and then Melanie came back after supper and she just held them for me. Huh. Turns out that ‘people’ can be more useful than ‘things’. I’m trying to get that through my introverted head.
No ‘after’ pictures. I was tired.

The person in Lloyd’s picture is barefoot. I’m still wearing jackets here. Not that I’m complaining. I like the cool air, especially at night. Temperature right now? 56 degrees.
Deborah says
I don’t know why that person was barefoot. It’s cool here, too.
Kristi says
Yay for you on getting the job done and Hooray for Melanie, who showed up to hold up the panels.
Gretchen says
That is an interesting fire pit. Is it the drum of a washer or dryer?
Lloyd says
It’s one of these. It really was amazing. flames always shooting up. lots of the flames to shoot up. Very little sparks even when there was some cedar in it. Not much smoke. VERY hot.
