Bird Cam

March 11, 2018

My parents reminded me that this is when the Decorah eagles are laying their eggs! I have the no-ad live stream playing in my classroom, and on Friday I set up two computers in the commons so the other classes can check in, too. One computer has the live stream, the other is running a PowerPoint slideshow. (That’s just a proof-of-concept prototype for another project, but that’s another post.)

We have our own little bird situation at the CDC. Last year some barn swallows built their nest on one of the porches and the current birds have been coming back every so often to check it out. I found a cheap wi-fi cam and hopefully I can get it set up before the birds settle in for real. 🙂

I am testing it at home. It has ‘night vision’. Note the spooky eyes!

That is a beautiful commons area. I think I should live there.

A million exercises in patience until the action starts — April 1, or so.

Cool! The first grade at my last school had that eagle cam on all the time.
