Unexpected art

June 24, 2019

I spent some of my Monday bringing some tires from the CDC driveway into the playground to drill holes in them so we can play with them. (The holes are so mosquitoes don’t use them for nurseries.) I remembered a catalog I had from England that was full of amazing outdoor stuff that just looked like crap people had hacked together – my kind of stuff! One of those items was a table made from a tire and a circle of wood. Fortunately, I was about to throw away a crummy three-legged table.

Let’s squirt some paint.

Cover it with plastic wrap and let the kids smush it.

Pulled off the plastic, and it’s not too bad. It will need some sealant, but we’ll see how it goes.
