Bettin’ on Bether

June 25, 2007 by Lauren 17 Comments

Alright people, give us your best guess!  Beth’s baby, Tim, has a due date of July 15, but there’s almost no chance she’ll make it until then.  Format:  Date, Time, Weight, Length (Height?).

When? When? When?

(By the way, that’s root beer in the picture, so don’t nobody go a-freakin’.)

I’m going with….. July 3rd (sorry), 4:30 p.m., 7 lbs even, 21 inches (because I have no idea how that works.)

Since Tara was early, I’ll guess Tim will be too.

    June 29, 9pm, 7lbs 1oz, 20 inches.

Wait! Wait! I’m changing mine – July(07) 7th, 7 a.m., 7 pounds, 7 inches. That would be awesome! (And one really short, really fat baby.)

I thought you were giving the baby’s width. Everyone’s always going on and on about the length of the baby. The width is really where it’s at.

I’m at a great disadvantage here … knowing nothing about Tara’s size etc., but here goes:

    July 4th, 5pm, 7 lbs. 12 oz., 20 in.

July 6th, 10:15am, 8lbs 2oz, 20 1/2 inches…hopefully, he won’t be this big or this late (early?), but your fat baby bearing, late birthing friend can’t seem to think small or early. Sorry.

    I’ll go with: June 26-July 25, 12:00am-11:59pm, 6-9 lbs, 18-25 in. (I was a nebraska weatherman in a former life).

I need more information! What did the doctor say yesterday? How far dilated? Effaced? Head down? Come on! 🙂
If I must simply guess, then I would have to bet on the big fireworks scaring the little bugger out late at night on July 4th or early morning July 5th. I’ll pick the weight to go with the date: 7 lbs 4 oz or 7 lbs 5 oz depending. Going by the height of the parents and big sister, I’ll guess 20 in long. I’m also going out on a limb and saying red hair.

All is well. I’m 40% effaced, Tim is head down, and my cervix is soft, but not dilated yet.
Tara was 7lbs, 20in, and indeed had a full head of red hair. We do know that Tim has hair (it’s even obvious on an ultrasound), but color?? I’d go with red, too :D.

And, a July 4th baby would be fun for a couple reasons… first, fireworks for every birthday (fun!) and second, our kids would have reciprocal birthdays, 4/7 and 7/4. How cool is that?

I’m super impressed with your use of the word reciprocal! Yes, that would be very cool.
The five of us (me and my four brothers) all have J-month birthdays: July 21, July 10, June 3, June 20, January 5 – in that order. Our first names however do not all begin with the same letter – M, S, R, J, D – boring!
