Chop chop chop

November 26, 2007 by Lauren 4 Comments

I love chopping stuff! It’s really a shame that I can’t work in a restaurant where my only responsibility would be to make large pieces of food smaller. This weekend I spent way more time than necessary slicing apples up so we could snack on them. I started to get obsessed over how many slices I could get out of a quarter of an apple. (Twenty-four is the record, and now I’m all out of apples.)
Hmmm….I wonder if I could give sliced apples for Christmas?
Prepare to die.

It's Laura's fault. She broke the plate.

You should see how many slices you could get out of a quarter of a rabbit! Now THAT would be a post.

Will you come live with us, please? Then you can chop, I can cook, and Leo and the kids can clean the kitchen. We have a nice space downstairs… (pleading tone)

You’re apple slices are gorgeous! And we almost always have Granny Smiths around… (more pleading tone)

Oh the joys of chopping … I think it relieves stress … and I like your choice of knives. I just bought a 5 ” Cutco Santoku … NICE!!!

Your really thin apple slices remind me of the discs in my back … darn degenerating discs.
