… plant tomatoes!
I’m going out on a limb here and saying that this is the year that I’m actually going to plant tomatoes. I know I’ve said it before and never actually followed through, but I have a plan this time.
I love the miracle that is the sprouting seed, but once it becomes an actual plant I lose all interest and forget to water it. (It’s a good thing that the cats are always in front of my computer or t.v. screen or I’d forget to water them, too.) Now, though, I’ve got this drippy faucet that is guaranteed to not get fixed before fall, and since I’ve got a funnel (to muffle the incessant drip-drip-drip sound)/pitcher contraption, I am throwing a pitcher of water out the back door every day on the plants out there now – so I might as well put a plant out there I can eat!! Right? Right, plant-knowledge people?
Brad?
Anybody?

You should put your TV outside, right behind the tomato plant. That way, you’ll remember to water the plant.
Oh, and behind your house isn’t quite enough sun for a tomato. Put it in the side garden. Or put it in the big pot at the bottom of your front steps. But if you use the pot (hehe… I said “use the pot), buy a plant from Walmart or Merle’s that says “patio tomato” or something like that. They’re smaller plants and won’t overrun the entrance to your house.

Can I put it just south-west of the air conditioner unit? I can throw water that far from the door.

If you really want a good reminder, don’t put the computer/tv out there, put the cats out there. Then you will also have the wonderful entertainment value of cats trying to avoid the water or actually getting hit by the water. Either way it would be fun. 🙂

Lots of sun… I guess that means we shouldn’t try tomatoes.

I say invest your time in planting one of these…I hear they really flourish with the right DRIP.
