I shall call it a Foroon.

December 17, 2009 by Lauren 8 Comments

So, I ‘had to’ order some stuff on the internet a while ago, and if you’ve never visited The Museum of Useful Things, I highly suggest you do. They don’t have a large inventory, but the things they have are pretty splendiferous. Stuff made of metal and canvas and grommets and such.

I bought some things that I needed, but on impulse I also ordered a combination spoon/fork. It arrived today, but ‘spork’ is a word too lowly for this beautiful, gadget-y thing.

Can you see me?

“Foroon” sounds much better. I christened it by eating ice cream with Grasshopper cookies mashed in.

Take that, Thin Mint Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

Verdict: The bowl of the spoon is a bit too deep for ice cream consumption, but I will totally keep it in my bag in case of an eating emergency.

It looks like a ninja weapon. How do you say “Death by spoon” in Japanese?

Yup…keep it in your purse as a weapon! I can just see those prongs being jammed in some assailant’s throat! You should repackage it and sell it as such.

I picked up a couple of those for stocking stuffers – but they are made of bamboo so they don’t look quite so dangerous.

The bamboo ones would seem even more dangerous to me. I can’t help thinking about pandas with weapons.

Dang. Those look pretty good – and are probably better for ice cream, too. Double dang.
