SuperSnacker & Me

January 26, 2010 by Lauren 9 Comments

So, that snack-making thingie is turning out to be pretty cool. I’m certain I’ve received more that $3 worth of joy from it, and it also satisfies my desire to have a GT Xpress. (I tell you, I am a sucker for infomercials. I will watch that one every time it comes on. That and the Magic Bullet blender. I can’t break the spell.) This thing is better than the GT, though, and it’s built like a tank! Here’s a list of things I’ve tried:

So far, I’ve made cake, but I didn’t eat any. (It was after 7 p.m., and I can’t eat then.) I had to try it making it, though. Success!

Jiffy's devil's food, which means it's dry.

The pizza sandwiches are the hands-down best. Served with a side of warm sauce, it’s pizza in five minutes! Success!

Cast & crew

Hot pockets. Do you know Jim Gaffigan? He's hilarious.

Eggs were the most fun to eat. Success! (See above.) The one food item I’ll have to tinker with is the 5-minute-a-day bread dough. It made satisfactory dipping bread for stew, but not bread that I’d want to eat on it’s own. (Too dense.) Semi-Fail

So-so, but I'll eat anything.

I feel so futuristic eating my food in triangle form. What’s next – a hovercraft?

The silver coil on the hinge and the scalloped shell shapes make it look very steampunk to me. You should add some superfluous pressure gauges and gears.

That was a hard comment to write. I had to check on the spelling of “superfluous” and “gauges”.

I was disappointed that the yokes were not also triangles.

      hehe…

I’ve only ever made the pizza things in mine…YUMMY!! I would have never thought to plop an egg in there. Do you have a little recipe book or do you just experiment? Or is it that a silly question?

Lauren, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched that GT Xpress infomercial. Whenever it comes on, I am transfixed. I also love the Turbo Cooker infomercials. It is a sickness.

I like that GT Express too! I almost bought one…but put it back. Of all places they had it at WP in the PX.

I have a Turbo Cooker…I cooked one thing in it…and it’s been in my basement ever since. It takes up too much room in my kitchen. You can have mine.

Do you need help eating all that food? I would gladly take on that tremendously difficult task.

Marissa, Peggy & Deanne – you weaken my resolve! (Peggy, yes there is a booklet.)

Brad – Dang it. Now I’m going to have to do that.

Curt – the snacker maker is yours when I’m done with it. 🙂
