Outback Steakhouse

While watching t.v., a commercial plays for a $14.95 sirloin special, including steak and two little lobster tails.

Lloyd [in his announcer voice]: ‘Special’ -that means we’re serving you less food.

Lauren: What’s your problem?

Lloyd: It’s a six-ounce portion of steak!

Lauren [who has strong feelings about oversized portions]: That’s the recommended serving of meat.

Lloyd: That’s not the recommended serving of steak.

Just to be snarky--that’s actually TWICE the recommended serving of meat. The DAILY recommendation for the meats, beans, and nuts group is about 6 oz (for a 2000 kcalorie diet.)

(Can you tell that I have a thing about portion sizes too?)

Haha! I laughed out loud, Lloyd. Now all the people here in the lobby think I’m crazy.

Hi Brad—I’m glad you’re not dead!

And don’t worry…I’m pretty sure American and crazy go hand in hand there in England!

Of course you all saw that news story that was all over the internet about how the paintings of The Last Supper have gotten progressively larger meal sizes as the years have passed?

PS — Do we have to wait all the way until our tomorrow morning to hear how the flight was & your 1st day? Don’t make us wait ’til the next day…which would be like 2 more days for you, right? Oh boy, we’ll never get the word ‘next’ right now that you’re in a whole other time zone!

I believe the disciples were having the SuperSized Seder.
