75

September 10, 2011 by Lauren 8 Comments

Happy Birthday to my Dad! If I did the math correctly (and we all know I’m a bit shaky on that), I think he is 75 years old today. Woo-hoo!!

He’s been celebrating a lot of milestones lately. Last year we celebrated the 50th anniversary of marriage to my lovely mom, and this year he celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination. That’s 101 years!

My current newspaper is the Seward County Independent. Strange, huh?

I guess he’s older than 75, huh?

And why are independent newspapers such a big deal? I wonder if any newspaper is called “The (something county) Dependent”.
