Stands alone…. sort of

Food fact: Freshly shredded cheese is more delicious than the same, unshredded cheese. Why is that?

Are there other foods that go through a similar transformation?

    Dang it, I just spent time looking on the internet for the answer and I’m supposed to be packing. I’ll let other people figure this out…

    I agree that pre-shredded doesn’t taste as good when you eat it raw. But I don’t know if I’d be able to tell the difference once the cheese is melted or cooked.

    Cheese by any other name in any other form, is still … curdled milk!

    We only use freshly shredded. It is because of the binders they put in the packaged kind so it will stay separated. Ick!
