Let’s just watch this video over and over all day, shall we?

So ‘helpful’.
1) When Lloyd didn’t have school last Wednesday (snow day), he cleaned up the house. He vacuumed upstairs, straightened the downstairs, and put the bag of Iams cat food in the freezer. (It stays fresher that way. I think.) When he opened the freezer, there was another bag of different cat food. (Leftover from my feeding of the strays last winter. It’s how I can sleep at night. Have I mentioned I’m crazy?) Wanting to be helpful, he combined the two.
2) Wally has barfed twice in the past few days, and their poops have smelled horrific. I blamed the new food. I got the bag of cat food from the freezer to dump more Iams into the container that we keep in the kitchen, and discovered that it was all combined. I was annoyed, but couldn’t get mad because a. he was trying to be helpful and b. he didn’t know, but c. I got mad anyway.
“I’ll sort it out during the Superbowl,” he promised.
And he did. (Well, we did.)
Test, test. Also known as ‘Distracted Posting’
I am lazily watching tv and don’t really have a post idea, so I’m testing if I can load a video straight from the iPad (using the WordPress app) and have it work in this post. It’s probably a really bad idea to type all this text without actually loading a video to see if it works, but I’m weird like that.
Ok, here goes:
Success! And that didn’t take too long – less than ten minutes for a minute and a half of video. (It’s some old footage of the end of a ribbon-chasing session in the basement. I recorded it to show a little 3-year-old girl at school. She is practicing not crying when Mom brings her and looking at the kitties on the iPad is a better reinforcement for ‘a hug and a kiss and have a great day‘ than a sticker. The cats were worn out by the time I got around to filming.)
Nope. Worked on the iPad, but not here. Oh well. No harm, no foul.
Have a nice Sunday!
Sites I like
Going along with the handful of sites that I cycle through over and over because I can’t seem to have an original thought of my own, here is the next installment: Food stuff.
Smitten Kitchen She has great pictures and writes well, and I have swiped a couple of recipes from her. Plus, she started out in a very tiny kitchen, which is a topic near and dear to my tiny-loving heart.
Pioneer Woman She has honest pictures and writes hilariously. Her website is chock-full of stuff, like the ‘Confessions’ section where she writes about ranch life.
Food in Jars Marisa is a canning goddess, and while I’ll never actually can anything myself, her documentation of the process is wonderful.
