Well, it’s over. I am pleased to say that it went as well as could be expected. The battery worked, the lights lit up, many adorable children showed up dressed in their angel and shepherd costumes while their parents accompanied them, and most importantly – nothing caught on fire.
My only regret? We should have checked the tires before we left. The cool air made them a little low and that made it harder to pull. My friend Melanie who was on the other side was doing 75% of the work, I’m sure. My arms are sooo tired. Next year? Two people on each side, and all of them strong dads.

It was amazing! The lights were perfect. Reverent and not overwhelming.

It’s beautiful, Lauren!
I’m sure it was very exciting for the school-age children who helped build it, and for the preschoolers who walked behind it.
