Lloyd had to go pull wire in the sanctuary for some future camera/thechnology/blah blah blah and I told him to call me if they needed help. He assured me they wouldn’t. Well, an hour later Sam sent me a text asking me to check on something for the kindergarten Open House on Sunday. I went over to do that, and wound up spending the rest of the day ‘helping’ with the wires. Mostly, I walked around restlessly, and finally went into our nearly- done nursery and started to design how it should be finished:
It needs shelving! And mirrors! And plants!
I think I’m just going to do it myself. Anyway, back in the sanctuary there were ladders to move and wires to pull. We poked around a lot and I explored all kinds of secret spaces. Fun fact: our eternal flame is gas-powered!
It was very, very wrong that I couldn’t help humming The Bangles tune the whole rest of the day.
Long story short, we were there way too long. Oh, other fun fact? The wires they pulled were too short. There will be splicing at a later date. I’m sure I will not be needed.
“Close your eyes. Give me your hand, darlin’ can you feel my heart beating? Do you understand? Can it be the same or am I only dreeeeeeaming? Is this burning? An eternal flaaaaaame?”

Gas powered. Excellent. I thought it was an electric bulb. Gas powered is much better.
And RATS! to the wires being too short. RATS! RATS! RATS!

How interesting and efficient. And thanks for the earworm.

Love that song. On Friday night, we watched “Bedtime Stories” with Joanna, and that song was in the movie.

LOVE the drawing! Especially the plants….they look better than my real plants!
