Happy 54th anniversary, Mom and Dad! Happy 40th birthday, Beth!
I’ve been catching a ride with Lloyd to the end of Seward street and then enjoying a little walk to work. I am never downtown, so it’s nice to look in the store windows and see what’s on display as the sun rises.
Anyway, as Lloyd and I pulled away from the house, I was mocking his super-efficient eco driving. He drives very slowly so that the gas engine doesn’t kick in, and I said, “Aren’t you worried the other Prius drivers will make fun of you when they pass you?” He responded, “No. Prius drivers never pass.”
Huh. It was funnier in the car. I guess you had to be there.
At the end of the day I asked him to meet me at the grocery store since I needed to buy food and there is a limit to my incredible strength. He parked his grocery carrier in the only likely spot. (Re: above photo)

That’s not a pull-through parking spot. Do you not do that anymore, Lloyd, or did you make an exception for the sake of solidarity?
Lloyd says
It was for solidarity, and maybe to make the other person do a double take when they came out of the store.
Not only am I still looking for the pull through spots, I’m also seriously considering backing into my driveway in the evening.

Thanks, Lauren! We did errands and went to Sonic!
