This week is supposed to be crazy cold. The past few days have had highs in the 50s/60s, but for the next several days the high will be thirty-one. THIRTY-ONE. Holy frozen popsicles! I know that there will come a time this winter when I will think of 31 as balmy, but this is a pretty severe temperature shock right now.
Of course, there is a part of me that is delighted. The curtains are hung about the house for zone heat retention, and this year I moved the flat panel heater to the upstairs bathroom and put it on a timer. (Ha, this is its third home. Here was the first.) I am embarrassed to show you our messy bathroom, but it is what it is.
Dare I say, it’s the best seat in the house.
(By the way, Peggy is having some surgery tomorrow, so keep her in your prayers, ok? Peggy, I hope that’s ok to say. We love you and want to know. 🙂 )

The Cold gets here tomorrow. I don’t think my house is ready for it.

Sam and I started zoning too. The foyer is now blocked off with the big pocket doors. And -- we bubbled our bedroom. 🙂
Peggy says
I don’t mind the cold…..but the drastic change in temperature is shocking.
And I don’t see a messy bathroom. Is this a where’s Waldo type picture? Find the mess…..
And of course I don’t mind you mentioning the surgery. Thanks so much for the love & prayers!
(For anyone interested, I’m having back surgery. 2 herniated disks removed, 3 lamia bones removed, numerous bone spurs & other calcifications grinded off & a 3 vertabrae fusion complete with titanium rods….Woo hoo!)
