Another Christmas tree!
Long ago, Megan at NotMartha made three stunning Christmas tree mobiles by hanging ornaments from clear line. The images have haunted me since, but there is no way I can have things dangling from the ceiling here. The adorable vandals would destroy it in a heartbeat.
We made a little one at school. We usually have some glass ‘drops’ from a chandelier suspended over the drinking fountain, and I thought I could buy some small green ornaments, but it turns out that we have small green things all over! I set up some preschoolers to measure and cut fishing line – “We could do this forever!” – and also to hand me beads-on-strings to hang up, and we only got tangled up twice. Nice!
It is very, very small, though.

If I had some ceiling in my house that wasn’t just painted, I might try it. Oh, who’s kidding who? I would never try that. Putting up the ol’ pre-lighted artificial tree is less work, and I still haven’t done that.

Nice! i can’t tell…what are the small green things?

They are the chunky beads we string on shoestrings -- about an inch across? Cubes, spheres and 3-D ovals (are those called ovoids?).
