Lloyd and I had a meeting in the mid-afternoon on Sunda, and afterwards I decided to 1) call my parents and 2) check on movies and 3) mess around with nail polish.
That last one was a bad idea. With 45 minutes until the movie started, I was trying to marble-paint my nails and also text Deborah to see if she wanted to go. It was not going well. I’m not a girly-girl anyway, but I saw this technique a couple of weeks ago and have been so curious about it.
In a nutshell, you drop nail polish onto water – different colors – then drag a toothpick through it to make a pattern, then dip your nail into it.

That is the NUTSHELL version. In real life there are several steps that should be taken to get a good result. I did not have time to take all the steps, so it was a right disaster.
That could have been the end of the post, but as I was writing this, it occurred to me that this must be a similar process to what they do to apply patterns to helmets. You’ve seen that, right?
Ok! New ball game for Lauren! It’s time to play…. Will it Marble??
I need an item. How about a key? On those ’39 ways to make your life easier’ clickbait sites, painting your keys with nail polish is one. Let’s do this.
My first try! I’m fairly sure it will chip off, but so what? Let’s marble everything!

That imgur link makes it look so easy. It should take five seconds and look perfect. 😉

You could marble some Easter Eggs. Use them for a display.
