Last night was the final 14 – 16 hour work/commitment day of the week. We had the Lincoln Lutheran Gala on a Friday instead of a Saturday for some reason, so after work we went straight in. I was too tired to make a post by the time we got home, so just imagine people dressed up very nicely, very good food, and then LOTS OF YELLING BECAUSE THE LIVE AUCTION IS EXTREMELY LOUD. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL THE GUYS WITH MICROPHONES THAT MICROPHONES MAKE YOU LOUDER. YOU DON’T NEED TO YELL.
Actually, somebody could have just gone over and turned down the volume. I’m looking at you, Lloyd.

It was a fun evening. My ears are still ringing. Northern Lutherans are more generous than I thought. Thanks, you guys…and Samith! We enjoyed the table invitation, your company, and the entire evening.

Was there a silent auction component? I love silent auctions. My school has one coming up. I’m excited about it.

Yes, there was a silent auction. They have four sections and close each one down every 20 minutes at the end of the evening. They do it by color, though, and it’s a bit confusing. “The blue section is closing down.” The what? Where? Where am I?
