I had to go to Wal*Mart for some things after work: cat litter, lemonade, and supplements. SUPPLEMENTS. What am I, a hundred?
I am please to note that this is the fourth bottle in a row of calcium, which means that I have taken one consistently for 465 days in a row, more or less. Yay, my bones!
The other pills are for my ruined elbow. I finished one small bottle of pills a while ago, but haven’t taken any for a couple of weeks. Since then, I consulted my internet doctor and learned that one of these ingredients – either glucosamine or chondroitin – is a load of horse hooey when it comes to helping. The problem? I will never remember which one, so I will always look for both.
Whatever.
Brad says
Aren’t there supplements that contain both? Then you could be sure to have the one that helps, while the other one will just pass right through.
Why is your elbow ruined? Is it all the tennis?
Lauren says
Ha! Tennis, me? I hurt it working on the float last November, and then again carrying a shelf when it wasn’t quite healed. Now, every time I life something it’s messed up. I’m not taking pain medicine because if it doesn’t hurt, I lift more stuff. Stupid joints. Stupid age.
