I just don’t like to be busy. Let’s just leave it at that.
No, let me whine. This time of the year is just too busy. Long days with longer stuff to do afterward, two nights in a row of eating dinner in the parking lot of an abandoned building on my way to WalMart, waaayy too much of my money being spent at WalMart on school stuff, and trying to remember to make these days pleasant for the 15 kids who are having their last week of preschool while still keeping the other families informed of what’s to come this summer.
Here endeth the whining. Sorry.

This year I’ve been comparing my old and new jobs a lot this year. I keep thinking of my old job like a marathon and working with kids as a series of sprints. My old job was pretty much the same day to day, but sometimes the sameness took a lot of endurance. Working with kids has lots of interesting variety, but sometimes you’re running like a crazy person just to keep up.

That is an excellent analogy. Right now there are too many races going on. 😉
