We are having it.
*sigh* I really don’t have anything to complain about as far as the systems go. We are there in PLENTY of time, thanks to simplified breakfasts and getting on the bus much, much sooner that we have in the past. The stations are all set up well (great job presenting snacks, Deborah), the gym is set up the best it’s ever been, and it really is going well.
My kids, though? Oy. My kids. Let’ just not talk about that. Let’s think about that gym. Ahhh…. the gym. The musicians are up on the stage, so all my guys can see them and I don’t have to hiss ‘sit down’ a hundred times. They put the tarps down on the floor so it is 1)more comfortable, 2)no one is spinning around on a slick floor and 3) it is 1000% less echo-y. I heartily approve.
We’re only halfway through, though…..

Differing schedules are so interesting…
We aren’t out of school yet, and you’re already having VBS. Around these here parts, VBS doesn’t happen until July.
Lauren says
That is crazy that you’re not out of school yet. How late will you go??
Brad says
Tomorrow is our last day, but Baltimore County schools go to June 18.
Deborah says
Thanks! And I like the musicians on the stage, too.

Anna shared her experience with a 4 year old girl experiencing an automatic flushing stool for the first time yesterday. 🙂 “Yes, it is ok; it is supposed to do that. Shhh… you don’t need to scream. If you come out of the stall it won’t keep doing that. Shhh… you don’t need to scream. Really, quit screaming each time it flushes.” 🙂 Anna has a new appreciation for what you do Lauren!
Lauren says
Ha! She takes them to the automatic flushers? She’s brave. I take mine to the old-fashioned bathrooms. I also stand in the boys’ bathroom after snack so my guys don’t try to use the urinal that is two inches too tall for their…. business.
