It’s my Dad’s birthday today. He’s 79 years young! Woo-hoo! (Did I do that math right? 1936?)
Anyway, in lieu of a present I made myself, I give everybody a lovely, heartbreaking song co-written but totally sung and played by my brother Phil, “Given up Hope”. It’s about a man who has both given up Hope and is giving up hope.
Brad says
Happy Birthday, Lauren’s dad! Hooray!
Deborah says
Happy birthday!
Peggy says
OH MY GOODNESS….I LOVE that song!! Wow! Your brother is sooooo talented! Is this what he does for a living? Does he have records? He could definitely go on The Tonight Show with this song. Seriously. (I’ll be his agent & I charge very little…anything chocolate is all I ask)
And Happy Birthday Mr. Hoffman!
Peggy says
….ooops, Mr. Hofman (only 1 ‘f”)
And Phil … you have a GREAT voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kristi says
Great job on the song!!!
Happy Birthday to Lauren’s dad!
Ron Royuk says
Happy Birthday, Marion! (did I spell that right?) I love your birthday song. I wonder if it could be set to another libretto? The answer must be ‘yes’ with all the talent that Phil has demonstrated. Have a great day in the Lord and an even more blessed weekend.
Aunt Lolly says
Happy birthday Lauren’s Father, and God’s blessings. Beautiful song Phil.
Lauren's dad says
Thank you all for your birthday wishes!
