Lloyd and I took Sam and Gracen into Lincoln this morning. They were going to join Rachel to watch Anna play volleyball, and Lloyd and I had errands to run.
First up: Kohls. We both need pants, dang it. I told him there was a limit to the amount of time we could spend in that store. We split up to go to our respective departments. I tried on four different kinds of pants. The first pair looked were cargo pants and looked like they had a million pockets. No. They had four pair of tiny pockets and four pair of fake pockets. I was irritated. The second pair was so surprisingly soft (like sweatpants-soft) and fit so nicely I decided then and there to get one in every color. Then I slid my hands into the front pockets…. and my hands slid to my knees. Not just fake pockets: NO pockets. I nearly screamed. The other two were suitable, so I found Lloyd and made him buy the pants he was holding so we could get out of there. Stupid pants makers….. $150 for pants….
….. and then we got pulled over. I forgot to register the Prius back in July. Dang it!!! The officer was very nice about the whole thing, but there goes $73 that we could have spent on pocketless pants.
That put a bit of a damper on the day, so we scratched the other errands and just went to Sam’s Club. As we were checking out, we discovered our membership had expired. Dang it!!! $50 extra for the stupid membership……..
…. only fire could cure the woes. We didn’t go camping, but made good use of the fire pit. Thanks, Brad.

Spending money is fun when you CHOOSE to. Spending money on stuff you HAVE to is a drag 🙁
I especially have trouble spending money on clothes. They are so expensive! Of course I have no issues at all spending a whole bunch of money on garden plants 😉
I’m glad you used the fire pit. The last couple of weeks have been so hot here I never even considered using mine. Last night was cool though. I should get out there and toast some marshmallows! Mmm…
