Note: I took no pictures today except the one up above. You’ll just have to use your imagination.
It was a good start to the new year. The morning was spent just hanging around, but the afternoon was busy. I took Brad to the airport *sniff*, but not before we stopped off at Sam and Rachel’s to say goodbye to everyone. After the airport (imaginary photo of Brad waving here), it was back to Sam and Rachel’s for a Day Of Hanging Out. They had lots of people over for snacks, games (of which I did not partake) and visiting. It was very relaxing. (photo of relaxed people)
I had an invitation to a wedding reception, so after stopping at home to change, I drove in to Lincoln with Samith. He lives just a few blocks from the reception site, and it was very nice talking with him. (photo of driving here)
The reception was at Wilderness Ridge Lodge, and the building was GORGEOUS! Look at all these imaginary photos of the giant doors, the log lodge, the giant antler chandeliers! The bride and groom were adorable, and Kate (groom’s mom/ my friend) looked amazing. I stayed…. 30 minutes? That’s very brave for socially-shy me.
Afterward I went to Target to exchange some shirts my mom gave me. (Mom, if you see them back on your Visa and then removed, that was the fault of the young girl at the counter. She was confused.) The shirts were wonderful colors, but my Merona brand has switched their formulation to a ‘deep v’ neckline instead of a ‘regular v’, and they were showing a bit too much skin for a preschool teacher. The remaining shirts were pretty picked over, but I found three that will work wonderfully. Thanks for my Life Uniform, Target! (and Mom 🙂 )
This seemed like way more than you needed to know. Sorry about that.
Brad says
Haha! I love the imaginary pictures!
What do you take pictures with? Does your phone have a camera?
Lauren's dad says
Lauren must have taken my virtual iPhone and used it.
Lauren says
Yes! The virtual iPhone! That’s it. 😉
