One of my little girls lost a tooth this week. As she stood up proudly in front of the class, she told her story. “My dad tied floss around it and when he pulled it, my tooth came out and it had a different flavor.”

I don’t understand that floss thing. It seems like a lot of work. I just used a tissue to grip the tooth and pulled it out.
I love how kids say stuff like that. They say whatever they mean without filtering. Would we say the same things if we hadn’t been trained not to? Or have we filtered ourselves so much that we don’t even notice that blood has a flavor? I guess when I floss too hard, I can tell I’m bleeding before I see it, so maybe I do still notice.

I shared this with Matthew who said, “I know what it was!! It was her sweet tooth!”

Ha! He’s hilarious. 🙂
Also, I fixed the ‘was came out’ goof.

Some floss has a mint flavor.
