I wake up about 5:30. Actually, my first phone alarm goes off at 5:25, letting me know that I have five minutes before my next phone alarm and iPad alarm go off in tandem to make me flail about and wake up for real. Then I lay there another five minutes and contemplate what unemployment involves. (More sleep, I tell you what.)
Then I take a shower, and at 5:45 my phone alarm goes off to tell me I need to get out of the shower. Quit bossing me, phone.
That’s it for the alarming morning. I ….. I almost type that I haven’t overslept in a long time, but that just guarantees that it will happen tomorrow. Dang it. Somebody text me at 6:30 to make sure I’m up. It I don’t answer, I’ve decided to become unemployed.

You give new meaning to the phrase “early bird.” Wow -- way to go! Does the summer schedule allow you to “sleep in” just a little bit?

I overslept today. I went to bed too late. I ended up driving in later than I have in a long, long time. Maybe ever.
