We had so, so much help on Friday and Saturday. It was amazing. On Friday afternoon we set boxes out for parents to drop off as they picked up their children, and at 6:00 we had many, many people from the congregation and nearly cleared out all of the first floor.
Today, Saturday morning, we had more people: parents, congregation members and college students, and I would say that 95% of everything is out of the building. I asked them to leave a couple areas alone because there needs to be a little more thinking time to sort through it all.
It has been good to be so panicked and busy and exhausted, because yes, I am very sad to leave the old place. People just….. gutted the place I have spent the past 19 years of my life. I went back at the end of the day to see it. Of course I anthropomorphize everything, so I said ‘thank you’ to my old friend.

Circle of Life, Man. I was sad when I heard it wasn’t a liquor store anymore.

Lol Sam, so glad you had help. A new beginning and much work for setup but this to will get done.

Those rooms look weird without all the stuff in them.
Will things settle down for you a little bit now?
Brad says
Nice alliteration in the title, by the way 🙂

19 years in one place — that’s pretty cool. Now you get to create some new spaces and new memories for the little ones… and for yourself, too.
