I forgot to write my post last night, so I’ll just tell you a little story. After checking kids for lice (and finding a school-ager with nit *jibblie*), I stifled my anger and went back to my room. I opened the locked cabinet to put back my lice-finding stuff *jibblie*, and saw a tiny spider with claws.
With claws.
Claws.
I freaked out, got it with a piece of scotch tape (from the lice-finding kit) and looked it up. Apparently they are called pseudoscorpions or book scorpions, and are not terrible creatures at all. Sorry I killed you, book scorpion. I had my reasons.

With the change in temperatures, all sorts of critters are finding their way indoors. Blech.

And then there is this variety: Hoffmannius spinigerus. But it’s not named after me or any of my relatives that I know of.
Brad says
I just spent fifteen minutes I didn’t really have, looking up book scorpions. I’ve never even heard of those, much less seen one -- and I was fascinated with bugs as a kid.
