We have a couple of meeting places at our church, and one of them is the church library. However, in the past few weeks the library has been re-purposed. (I don’t know for what.) Some groups and boards are interested in meeting at the CDC. The first group is the trustees, and they meet on Monday. The teacher resource/workroom was not exactly ready for them.
This was a bit of a ‘dump’ room during the move. It is the room for the teacher computers, the paper cutter & die-cutter, and also the library. Our director also wanted us to have a cozy area for …. lounging? (I think sleeping is right out, or I would have voted for a bed.)
Lloyd was crucial to this process. He is focused with a good head for organization, but mostly he is so focused. I have a willing heart but oooh is that a piece of gum? When did I last have gum?
It took us a good long while to try out different configurations, but it looks pretty good. This is a view of the teacher area across the back wall. The computers are on the left and the paper stuff is to the right.
More chairs are coming over from the church, but now we have a room that looks nice when you first walk in, with room for 12 people to have a meeting.
Nearly everything in this room is from an auction or was donated. Hooray for being cheap!
The die-cut letters used to live on a little bookshelf at the old place, but we re-puuposed a shelf from the old school-age room to hold them.
I have more stuff to share, but that’s enough for now. I can sense your boredom from here.

You are so thrifty and organized and can make anything look inviting. Good job!

Who labeled all of those boxes with such uniform handwriting? THAT was a task.
Nice circles!

That’s my friend Kate’s work. She’s taking care of librarian duties and is pretty amazing with the handwriting.
