Sam came over on Saturday to borrow an Allen wrench to fix a bathroom faucet. He returned it while I was at work and Lloyd was either asleep or watching a movie. It was funny to come home to this on the doorknob.
Happy Monday, everyone!

Lloyd’s been working on cleaning the basement off and on for a couple of months, God bless him. This morning he woke up and got the freezer ready for defrosting, which was fun. He has also rearranged the laundry room and it’s much nicer to work in there, but it’s a little dark. I mentioned that I’d like to get some LED lighting to replace the broken fluorescent shop lights we put in the basement years ago.
We bought a few in Lincoln. They are so amazingly light! Each one weighs less than the Maglight flashlight he keeps in the car. We hung one by the book area, one in the ‘workshop’ area, and one in the laundry room. Massive improvement.
I was using my computer last night and someone kept turning on the television by sitting on the Apple remote.
I think Wally is trying to search for ‘Smallville’, but his spelling skills stink.
One of the subcategories of a website I read is ‘frugal’. Lots of people are asking how to jazz up ramen. There are suggestions to add an egg, veggies, various spices, etc.
So, since I have no time to cook, I have been adding some frozen veggies to the boiling water and then some pre-cooked ground beef plus the salt packet. It changes it from a poor college student dinner to a sad mid-life crisis dinner.
Win!
I am not the world’s most organized person. I’m not even in the bottom fifth. I tend to have to have things all spread out so I can see them, or else I forget about their existence. (My closet is nearly all hanging clothes. I have some ‘drawers’, but I couldn’t tell you what’s in them besides my pajamas.)
We have some big projects coming up at school, and I can only devote time at the end of the day. If I put it all in folders, I’d waste precious time trying to spread it all out first. I needed a spot it could just live in brain-barf perpetuity. Concordia isn’t using their classroom right now, so I took it over. It’s working out pretty well. I go down for a half-hour-ish in the evening and give it a swipe or two.
We have a meeting in this room in two weeks, though. I’d better get crackin’!
