… I’m talking about Lloyd here, and I’m not even being blasphemous. I mean it.
Before we begin, Happy Mother’s Day! Lloyd and I each love our moms, and also each other’s moms! 🙂
So, Lloyd – who came from his mom – is arguably the best person in the world. He took half a day off on Friday to surprise me with camping. He picked me up from work, drove me to the lake…. and all our stuff was already set up, including the Aldi tent!
See that stuff? It’s my stuff!
It was wonderful. We made brats and a fire and drank my sorrows away. I haven’t slept lying down in a week, but it all worked out just fine.
There were several families there that were camping together. I loved it because it kept the drunk kids away, and because there were little kids camping.
In the early morning they were running around in their jammies, throwing rocks in the water just as they should.
The nice part about not camping in the car was that we were at the campsite the whole time. In the Prius, we wave to walk everything up and down the hill twice. Lloyd took this photo from inside the tent, where he ate breakfast.
Breakfast in bed for the Best Guy in the World? It was the least I could do.

Good job, Lloyd!

Hooray! That looks so awesome and peaceful. And it’s not so hot yet that you would have been uncomfortable at night. Excellent!

Awwwwww. You’ve got a keeper there, Lauren.
And I’m glad to see that your tent has been properly initiated into the world of camping.

The nice thing about camping with Lauren is that they are short trips. We arrived at 6:30pm and left at 9:30am. If we would have stayed longer, I could have read more of my book.

LOVE this. Way to go, Lloyd!
