I was going to call this, “I didn’t even leave the house”, but then I remembered that I woke up and immediately drove – shoeless and in pajamas – to Amigos to buy apple fritters, because I have my priorities straight.
Then I did sporadic cleaning throughout the day. Our house has had an ‘abandonded’ smell for quite some time, and though I think the roof replacement will help, there are other things that need to be done, too. First order of business: clean the refrigerator coils. I squeezed behind the fridge and dusted and bleached. Bleh. There is a drip tray inside that was messed up. This is what it looked like after I cleaned it:
This is Lloyd checking in on me. (He also cleaned.)
It was a tight fit.
Next, I ate the rest of my fritter, drank some coffee and read some internet nonsense. After that, I cleaned the disposal. Have you ever scrubbed the undersides of the flaps? Neither had I, and I almost barfed. Let’s not talk about it.
Then I vacuumed all the furniture. I found a disturbingly large amount of whole Doritos. Disturbing. I even tipped the sofa back and evaluated the hiding-holes underneath,
… then removed the cloth.
Yep, I never got out of my pajamas. The rest of the day was pretty slow, and perfect.

Such an over-achiever. I hate cleaning behind the appliances…And yet, it’s so satisfying when the job is done.
Doritos. The snack of champions…and not quite-champions.

This kind of cleaning is too intense for me. I think you should just move to a different house.
